~ going home ~

After almost seven years away from home I will return to Cape Town on Saturday. That means a new life, a new job,...and a new love, sometime?

I don't know when I will be around here again, I actually wanted to close this blog for good. But then I just didn't have the heart to do it. I will think about the future of Homo Eroticus when I lie on the beach....( haha nee it's still too cold for that down in SA). I'll let you know.

So for now I say good bye, my dear blogger friends, you can contact me via email or Facebook.

Ek wens jou alles van die beste, baai oukies,

Nicolas

The Warmth of Cutting Steel

Out of sight, the band-aid lifts revealing what was thought healed. After the surface is scratched, the wound suprisingly begins to bleed once more, first at a trickle, then gushing. Care and remedy need repeated as the trauma is vividly remembered, pressure applied. As the cause slips from your hand and falls southernly, the pain of the cutting is realized as deep and desireable, and the gift of feeling something is feared lost forever, replaced with a useless control.

Drenched in blood, the blade goes from comforting to chilled and you weep at the loss and change.
